In late May, we visited Joe and his wife Angela at their charming home in a rural area south of Valencia, following the installation of their solar panels in early January. Like many others, they had contemplated installing solar panels for some time before making their decision. Joe and Angela were eager to share their experiences, hoping to assist others who are considering solar energy but still have doubts.
How long did it take for you to decide to go solar?
Angela: Joe had wanted solar panels for a long time, but I was initially hesitant about the investment. We were also a bit apprehensive about the technical complexity of it all. Looking back, however, I have to admit that it is a great investment. I even think it is one of the best investments we have made!
What were the main reasons for choosing to have solar panels installed by Solarcell?
Joe: We chose Solarcell based on a recommendation from a friend. Your expertise, technical knowledge, and prompt, thorough responses to all our questions were impressive. Even though we are not very knowledgeable about solar energy, we received clear and helpful answers.
Angela: The fact that you spoke English was also crucial, as this is a significant investment that involves a lot of technical details.
How was your experience with the process from quotation to installation? Are there any aspects that you specifically appreciated?
Joe: The flexibility and ease in rescheduling the installation to fit our needs were important. The installation process itself was efficient, quick, and clean. The installation team was polite and did an excellent job. We also appreciated the discussion on how to place the pipes and tubing, coordinating with our needs and the engineers.
What advice would you give to people considering solar panels?
Angela: We might have underestimated the impact of aesthetics, which is an important consideration when deciding where to place the panels. If we could advise anyone, it would be to not only focus on optimal performance but also consider aesthetics. So, ask for advice on placement and its effect on performance to match both the need for efficiency and looks.
How would you rate the performance of the solar panels in terms of energy production and cost savings? Does it meet your expectations?
Joe: Yes, it certainly did. It significantly reduced our electricity bills, by about 80%.
Have there been any challenges after installing the solar panels? If so, how did you address these challenges?
Angela: The Spanish bureaucracy presented some challenges, but with the help from Solarcell, we resolved them quickly. This experience reinforced why we are so happy with you as our installation company.
What would you recommend to others who are considering solar?
Angela: Do it now, don’t wait. It’s a great investment. Make sure to choose a professional company that knows what they are doing and provides good service.

Angela: 10+! For all the reasons mentioned above.
